Public Education
Mindfulness has gained significant popularity in Europe and the United States in recent years, backed by robust scientific evidence. Research shows that it can help teachers by reducing stress and anxiety, improving sleep, decreasing negative emotions, enhancing emotional regulation skills, increasing positive emotions, and boosting overall life satisfaction and well-being.

"Mindfulness – Finding Peace in a Frantic World" (M-FP)
"Mindfulness – Finding Peace in a Frantic World" (M-FP) is a mindfulness course meticulously developed by the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation in the UK. It is designed specifically for busy individuals, such as teachers seeking professional development, and serves as a "light" version of an 8-week mindfulness program (including standard Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, MBSR, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, MBCT). By meeting for 1.5 hours weekly over eight weeks, participants with limited time can still learn mindfulness and experience the proven benefits. It is also an ideal introductory course for those wanting to understand, experience, and learn mindfulness.
Course Structure
The course consists of eight 1.5-hour sessions, with daily at-home practice of about 20 minutes. Through guided mindfulness exercises, small group discussions, professional individual guidance, and take-home practice sheets, you will learn the essential principles and techniques of mindfulness. This foundation will help you establish a personal practice and application in daily life, enabling you to reap the many benefits the course has to offer.

Key learning points include:
Various formal and informal mindfulness practices, using the breath and body as anchors for present-moment awareness.
-
Understanding the physiology of stress and how to self-regulate emotions, empowering you to pause and respond more effectively in challenging situations.
-
Recognizing patterns of excessive worry or self-criticism often triggered by stress, and learning to treat yourself with greater compassion and kindness.
-
Developing more mindful communication, connection, and relationship patterns.
-
Exploring practical self-care tools to help you thrive, perform at your best, and strengthen resilience.
Program Implementation
Since 2021, in collaboration with the Tainan City Teachers' Union, we have held several M-FP courses for school faculty members and parents. Once the .b foundation program becomes available in Taiwan, we will also use it to provide mindfulness courses to elementary and secondary school teachers and parents, making our campus mindfulness efforts even more closely aligned with classroom realities.
